Huo Jianguo, born in 1954, is also the president of Chinese Academy of
International Trade and Economic Cooperation in the Ministry of
Commerce. 1978---1985 Got a Bachelor and a Master Degree at University
of International Business & Economics 1999---2003 Got a Ph.D.
degree in Economics at Nankai University’s international economic trade
institute Mr. Huo Jianguo served successively in China National Native
Produce and Animal Byproducts Import & Export Corporation, Institute of
ministry of international trade, economic & commercial section of Chinese
embassy to British, trade and economic office of the state council. He served as
the deputy director of the foreign trade office of the state economic and trade
commission in 1997. After 2003, he served as the deputy director of the
department of the commercial services administration of the ministry of
commerce, and then the deputy director of the department of the foreign trade of
the ministry of commerce. He served as the director general of china chamber of
commerce of import and export of food stuffs, native produce & animal
by-produces in 2007 and the president the academy of international trade and
economic cooperation of the ministry of commerce in 2009. Mr. Huo has
been dedicated in the management of the foreign trade and policy studies for a
long time, which contributes to his rich practical work experience and high
policy and theory study level. From 1993 to 2001, he attended negotiations
concerning China's entry into WTO and served in APEC for a few times. After
China’s entry into WTO, Mr. Huo has been in charge of the countermeasures for 14
industrial departments of the state economic and trade commission. He also has
published many articles on main domestic journals and magazines, and many work,
“Chinese foreign trade and state’s ability to competition”, for example.
